In the City is a fashion editorial published online for Schön! Magazine October 2024. This story was inspired by time spent exploring the hidden corners and intricate streets of New York’s Financial District and TriBeCa, coupled with the evolving anticipation of returning to the office in a post-pandemic world. To capture its essence, I drew from the evocative imagery of 90s fashion campaigns and candid photographs of New Yorkers from the 1980s through the early 2000s, caught in the rhythms of their commute and office life. I aimed to infuse the protagonist’s surroundings with the stark, unyielding coolness of concrete, positioning her as a radiant beacon of light amid the austere backdrop.
